Name: Natasha (Natalya) Solina
Program Year: Tourism Management, Third Year.
I am a Tourism Management international student going into my 4th year. My big dream is to travel to more than 50 countries before I turn 35.
My passion is to taste different wines and food. My latest (and so far, best) experience was working for BEGOC in summer 2015. BEGOC (Baku European Games Organizational Commitee) was responsible for holding 1st European Games in my homecountry, Azerbaijan. After the Games, I had a cross-training in JW Marriott in Houskeeping & SPA departments.
During the school year, I am working part-time for Special Events & Catering as a banquet server. This job helps me better understand the back of the house of the hospitality industry. I am also the General SMM for a boutique back home for almost 4 years. Through this experience, I’ve developed strong communication skills that help me to deal with different types of customers. I am attracted more by less well- known destinations, than the major ones.
I am excited to be a part of the Hornblower team and will do my best to share my knowledge and experience with the readers!
